#YellowFellow is an award-winning CRY campaign that mobilizes citizens to raise awareness for every child’s right to a happy childhood.

We may grow old but we still, look for those simple joys in life that keep the child in us alive. And that is what helps us understand the importance of happier childhoods for every child. So let that inner child play and be a #YellowFellow.

How Do I Become A #YellowFellow?

All you have to do is wear/use yellow socks in a unique, creative or quirky way and post a photo of yourself on social media tagging CRY and using the hashtag #YellowFellow.

Don’t have yellow socks? Just use CRY’s exclusive #YellowFellow augmented reality photo filters on Facebook or Instagram. We promise you, they’re a lot of fun too!

Why Socks?

The idea of using socks as the object association for the campaign is representative of the joy of a happy childhood. It brings the idea of ‘standing up for children’ alive in a very literal way!

The Story So Far

 

  • The campaign has reached 4.3 Crore people across India and witnessed unique participation by 4150+ people including 90 celebrities and influencers!
  • CRY successfully broke the Guinness World Record in November, 2018 for the maximum number of people wearing yellow sock puppets as CRY #YellowFellows in a single location! We broke it…for our children!
  • #YellowFellow has become one of the most talked about social campaigns and also won an award for ‘Best Multi-Channel Campaign By An NGO’ at the MCube Awards 2019!
