According to a McKinsey Gender Parity study, if all girls complete their education and participate in the workforce, India could add a whopping $770 billion to the country’s GDP by 2025! About CRY:
Established in 1979, Child Rights and You (CRY) is a leading Indian NGO that supports education of girls. We ensure girls right to education by working with project partners at the grassroots level to create sustainable change at all levels.
CRY works on all spheres of girl’s rights – education, nutrition, healthcare, child marriage and child labour. Through its 144 projects, CRY has a presence in 20 states and in the last 4 decades, CRY has positively impacted the lives of over 3 million children. In 2021-22, CRY protected 58,427 adolescent girls, between 11-18 years, in CRY project areas from child marriage.

We prevent child marriage and child labour by creating awareness about the harmful effects of these practices. Additionally, we connect families with MNREGA job opportunities.
We ensure children receive timely vaccinations and sufficient nutrition by connecting them to government healthcare services
